Bus Whisky is looking for an independent working chef (24-38 hours per week)

About our restaurant
The farm restaurant of Bus Whisky at the Heische Hoeve has been around for 3 years now. Almost all of our beverages already come from our own farm. We brew our own beers, make our own soft drinks, roast our own coffee, have our own tea plantation, make our own syrups and liqueurs and on top of it all: of course we distill our own whiskey! We also have our own food forest and fish pond. The ambition is to become almost completely self-sufficient in the coming years in terms of vegetables and meat on the menu as well. Everything from our own farm, in other words. That means working with whole fish, chickens, cows and pigs and processing everything 'from head to butt'. Waste does not exist, because we bring everything to value. We also pay a lot of attention to our green menu that is vegan, gluten and lactose free as standard. So growing and processing fruits and vegetables ourselves is also our goal.

We also combine the kitchen with a piece of product development and food design. So our goal is that once guests have eaten well, they can find products in our farm store to take home. To expand this further, we want to expand our culinary team with an independent cook who has a passion for pure and honest food and wants to think creatively about new dishes from the season.

Get creative working with beautiful, fresh, local produce in a fun team. Direct contact with farmers and producers. A lot of freedom in thinking up and developing dishes and the menu. Great diversity in work due to all the different activities that take place within our company and the local products we make and develop.

Because we strive for a good work-life balance, you will have a fixed schedule and be off for a whole weekend once every three weeks as standard. And we have a car plan with the possibility of an electric Fiat500e from the company.
